I saw this video clip and saw the reason for my story called, Misha and the Green Rubber Boots and the next one called, Misha and the Gigantic Puddle.
Things are so close to doing final formatting and then on to publishing of this second book in the Misha Adventure Series.
Smoky blinked his eyes and twitched his tail as he watched the curtain flap in the breeze. He lifted his front paw and licked it, then cleaned off the last bit of dinner from his whiskers. Smoky stepped gingerly over the spooky looking mat by the back door, then froze. A hand slowly pulled back the curtain and a gravelly voice cackled, "A black cat, run for your life!" Smoky arched his back and puffed up his fur. He swished his tail twice, then sprang at the curtain, disappearing through the opening.
My grandchildren each have one on the way to Calgary and Germany. I bought one for kindle too. I loved the characters. The story of the Halloween party was well written, the pictures clear, colourful and interesting. Misha sure had a brilliant party that any kid would love to go to, or read about. Congratulations Nancy. Awesome book. Misha and the Spooky Halloween Party is exactly the kind of book I love to read to the little ones. There are lots of places in the great illustrations where you can point and say "what's this?" or "show me where you see this?" The story started and ended featuring the children having a lot of fun doing the things children love to do like `hiding the stone' and `car racing'. The author included Misha's friends, his parents and even the neighborhood animals as being a part of the celebrations in such a smooth way that it made the story absolutely lovely!
The door bell rang, the box was delivered, the tape was cut and the packing paper removed. SURPRISE! My first printed copies of the Misha and the Spooky Halloween Party have arrived.
Here is my first review: I thought that Misha and the Spooky Halloween Party was a fun, well told story that also had beautiful, clean illustrations. I read the book to my youngest niece (she's seven) and she immediately asked if there were any more stories about Misha. With that kind of endorsement you can't go wrong with this children's book. Looking forward to more from this author (as is my niece) :) Yes - there will be other books coming soon. Keep watching for Misha and the Christmas Turkey
